The transition to sustainable energy is in full swing, but the space for solar PV fields on land is limited. Floating solar PV fields on lakes, sand and gravel pits, rivers and along the coast provide many opportunities and possibilities. Our solid anchoring solutions anchor floating solar PV fields highly efficiently, with an optimum holding force per anchor. This shortens the lead time for construction and limits the costs, while quality levels are maintained.
In close cooperation with Kloosterman Waterbouw, EMEQ offers reliable and solid total solutions for every anchoring issue of floating solar parks. As innovative partners, we think in terms of solutions and offer strength.
Kloosterman Waterbouw has its own, specially designed anchor vessel, which can be transported dismantled on two to three ordinary trucks to any location in Europe. Additional permits for special transport are therefore unnecessary in most European countries.
That means planning quickly, without extra transport costs.
Once on location, the anchor boat is operational within a few hours.
Experience shows that each anchor point can have a different ground condition. Anchors must be adjusted accordingly. To make sure that we have the right anchor with us for each anchor point, we (optionally) carry out a preliminary investigation. With special tooling, we examine the soil conditions for each anchor point to a depth of six metres. It prevents stagnation during anchoring work due to unexpected ground conditions.
The financial consequences of such stagnation can be many times greater than the costs of soil investigation.
Our specially designed, patented and modular Kloosterman anchor guarantees an optimum holding force in almost every subsoil. The most commonly used anchors are always in stock, which minimises the time between the preliminary survey and the installation.
Every anchor we install is subjected to what is called a pull-out test to check that the anchor has the required holding force. You may also opt for a longer test lasting five or ten minutes.
The anchoring ship is fitted with a GPS positioning system to guarantee accurate installation.
The exact placement of the anchor is digitally logged, as is other valuable information. We share this information with the client and with the construction team, so that they can prepare the anchor ropes to the correct lengths.
We can also install our anchors at greater depths. We’re currently capable of installing the anchors up to a depth of 100 metres.
The hydraulic oil used by our anchoring ship is biodegradable. This guarantees minimum impact on the environment.
In close collaboration with Kloosterman Waterbouw, EMEQ supplies reliable and solid total solutions for every anchoring problem for floating solar PV fields. As innovative partners, we think in terms of solutions and deliver robust performance. We think ahead. In solutions That results in solid and trustworthy solutions that help power suppliers take further steps in the energy transition.
